About Crescent Moon Farm

Crescent Moon Farm is owned and farmed by Khalid Elkalai and Kathleen Traphagen and our children Zaim, Layla and Sahar.

The farm began with our dream to raise high quality lamb in a way that is humane, natural and ecologically sustainable. We moved from Boston to the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts in 2005 and begin Crescent Moon with 100 ewes on 54 acres of pasture, woods and orchards in Belchertown, MA.
